habitude: suggests a fixed attitude or usual state of mind: greeted her friends warmly from ~.


practice: suggests an act or method followed with regularity, and usually through choice: our ~ is to honor all major credit cards. (注意是honor不是respect)


usage: suggests a customary action so generally followed that it has become a social norm: western-style dress is now common ~ in international business.


custom: applies to a practice or usage so steadily associated with an individual or group as to have almost force of an unwritten law: the ~ of mourners wearing black at funerals.


use: stresses fact of  customary usage and its distinctive quality: conform to the ~ of polite society.


wont: applies to an habitual manner, method, or practice that distinguishes an individual or group: as was her ~, she slept until noon.


habit习惯: 表示无意识无预谋，常强迫性的行为，habitude习惯: 指固定的态度心理，practice惯例通常做法: 有规律有选择的方法行为，usage惯用: 社会规范(social norm)般的常用(customary)，custom风俗: 不成文法律(unwritten law比norm更正式稳固)般的惯例或使用，use也是惯用: 强调常用这一属性(可以理解为usage的抽象名词，不必区分)，wont习惯: 区别于与其他人的习惯性举止行为方法。
